Expecting a whimsical, winsome escape, the newlywed couple, Ava and Derek Grant embark on a honeymoon in the picturesque paradise town of Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
Captivated by the zooming jetskis and cinnamon sunbathers, it is not long until everything falls apart. Finding themselves at a sleazy dance club, uncomfortable under the accusatory stares, Ava and Derek are caught up in a feud that triggers an awkward atmosphere for the rest of their holiday.
Agreeing to put the brawl behind them, the couple decide to go zip lining, unfortunately uncovering a vicious underworld. When her husband vanishes, Ava, a woman with a dark past, and a dangerous skillset, charges off to discover the truth.
“In The Blood” uses the same location as many of Stockwell’s earlier films, including “Into The Blue”, and features slick technological flourishes. Never doubtful of how and who to kill, Carano, a former mixed martial artist, will leave you knowing that she can certainly pound you to the ground.
