The cameras are rolling for this year’s Abu Dhabi Film Festival (ADFF) as the cinematic fair announced its call for entries.

The eighth edition for the ADFF, powered by twofour54 Abu Dhabi, is accepting entries in all categories (feature length or short narrative, animation and documentary films) until 15th July, 2014.

Last year’s festival received over 2,000 submissions from 102 countries and presented 90 long feature films and 70 short feature films from over 50 countries.

Since its inception in 2007, ADFF has brought the best of Arab and international films to the capital and continues to work to showcase local talent in the UAE and Gulf.

“When ADFF started, the aim was always to showcase the best films from around the world with films from the region. I’m proud to say that ADFF is still the only festival in the region to have Arab cinema compete alongside international film. We will continue to showcase the best of world cinema by bringing together another thrilling programme for ADFF 2014,” said Ali Al Jabri, Director ADFF.
