Orange Jordan has reaffirmed its commitment to youth empowerment and digital innovation by sponsoring the 12th National Technology Parade (NTP), hosted this year at Al Hussein Technical University in Amman.

Launched in 2007, the NTP has grown into a flagship platform for student-led innovation in Jordan. This year’s event gathered around 400 students across 100 teams from various Jordanian universities, showcasing projects that span a wide range of real-world applications—from green energy and biomedical technology to e-learning, gaming, and defense solutions.

Orange Jordan’s sponsorship reflects its broader strategy to drive digital transformation and equip young people with the skills and tools needed to shape the future. The telecom provider’s support for the event also underscores its belief in applied education, innovation, and youth-driven development.

“Through such events, we strive to foster a culture of entrepreneurship and technology among youth,” said a representative from Orange Jordan. “We believe innovation must serve society, improving lives and supporting national progress.”

At the event, Orange Jordan showcased its Orange Digital Center’s Fabrication Lab in a dedicated booth, where students and visitors explored hands-on digital manufacturing solutions. The booth also featured student-led innovation projects, reinforcing the message that technology is not only a career path but also a tool for social and sustainable development.

Student projects presented at the parade covered diverse categories including:

  • Green and Sustainable Technologies
  • Health and Biomedical Innovations
  • Defense and Security
  • Gaming and Entertainment
  • Industrial and Educational Technologies
  • Solutions for Persons with Disabilities

The parade encourages inter-university collaboration as well as engagement between academic institutions and the private sector, reflecting a wider national effort to boost employability, digital literacy, and innovation-driven growth. Orange Jordan’s role has been particularly instrumental in bridging the gap between education and industry, ensuring students have exposure to market-relevant tools and trends.

One notable feature of the NTP is its rotational hosting model—universities across Jordan take turns hosting the annual event. This approach has contributed to its growth as a national hub for youth talent and innovation, and is seen as a model of cooperation between the public and private sectors.

As Jordan positions itself as a regional centre for technology and entrepreneurship, the NTP continues to play a vital role in nurturing the next generation of innovators. Orange Jordan’s participation signals strong corporate backing for youth-led innovation, reinforcing a shared vision of sustainable, tech-driven development.
