US$131 million investment to create over 2,300 jobs and attract 400,000 visitors each year
The Events Investment Fund (EIF) — founded by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, under the National Development Fund (NDF) — has unveiled its first major venture, the Riyadh Shooting Range & Entertainment Complex. Representing an investment of SAR 491 million (over US$131 million), the project is a milestone in Saudi Arabia’s drive to boost its sports, culture, tourism, and entertainment sectors.
The announcement was made at the inaugural TOURISE Summit in Riyadh, a global forum dedicated to shaping the future of tourism.
Located just 40 minutes from the Saudi capital, the Riyadh Shooting Range & Entertainment Complex will be situated in Qiddiya City — the world’s first destination built entirely around the Power of Play. Covering a total area of 457,000 square metres, the facility will feature an ISSF-standard Shooting Sport venue, hosting national and international competitions and providing state-of-the-art training facilities for athletes and enthusiasts across multiple disciplines.
Backed by the Saudi Shooting Federation (SSF), the complex is designed to host major events including the Asian Games, World Cups, and Olympic-level competitions. Alongside the professional facilities, a family-friendly entertainment zone will offer paintball, airsoft, laser tag, and virtual shooting attractions. The development is expected to generate more than 2,300 new jobs and welcome over 400,000 visitors annually.
EIF’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Wahdan Suliman Alkadi said: “The Riyadh Shooting Range marks a major milestone in the journey of the Events Investment Fund and is our first landmark project, built to Qiddiya City’s international standards. This development reflects our commitment to creating world-class venues that enhance the Kingdom’s events infrastructure, stimulate investment opportunities, and contribute to achieving the goals of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.”
Muhannad AlDawood, Chief Strategy Officer for Qiddiya Investment Company also commented: “We’re delighted to welcome the Events Investment Fund and the Riyadh Shooting Range to Qiddiya City. As we embark on our journey to host a range of world-class sporting facilities, accessible to members of the public, enthusiasts and high performing athletes alike, this dedicated facility and entertainment complex is the latest exciting addition to the world’s first city built for play.”
EIF has confirmed plans to launch additional projects in key Saudi cities in early 2026, further supporting its objective to develop sustainable event infrastructure, drive economic diversification, and enhance Saudi Arabia’s global reputation as a leading destination for sport and entertainment.
