NVIDIA DLSS 4 Arrives for Borderlands 4 and More

NVIDIA has announced a significant performance boost for gamers this month with the rollout of DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, debuting in major new titles like Borderlands 4, Dying Light: The Beast, and more. Alongside this, a new GeForce Game Ready Driver is being released to optimise performance for these and other upcoming launches.

Borderlands 4 to Launch with DLSS 4 and RTX Features

Gearbox’s highly anticipated Borderlands 4, launching later this month, will fully support NVIDIA’s latest graphics technologies. Players equipped with GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs can expect up to a 5.5X frame rate increase thanks to DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation. RTX 40 Series users will benefit from DLSS Frame Generation, while all RTX owners can leverage DLSS Super Resolution to enhance image clarity using NVIDIA’s transformer AI model.

The game, set on the new planet Kairos, features fast-paced 4-player co-op action, billions of procedurally generated weapons, and a chaotic new narrative under the rule of a tyrant. To further enhance responsiveness, players can activate NVIDIA Reflex, which reduces system latency by up to 54%.

Dying Light: The Beast Gets a Performance Upgrade

Also launching on 19 September, Dying Light: The Beast blends open-world gameplay with survival horror. Set in the zombie-infested Castor Woods, the game will also feature DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, DLSS Ray Reconstruction, and ray-traced visual effects. These enhancements promise to elevate the immersive quality of this horror experience, particularly for GeForce RTX users.

RTX Remix Update Adds Advanced Particle System for Modders

NVIDIA also rolled out a major update to its RTX Remix modding platform. Now available via the NVIDIA App, the new advanced particle system allows modders to overhaul traditional visual effects like fire and smoke, or create entirely new, stylised effects. The update brings modern graphical fidelity to over 165 RTX Remix-compatible titles, including classic games like Portal.

Modders can now build particle effects that rival those in modern AAA games, adding realism and flair to remastered titles.

DLSS 4 Also Comes to Predecessor and Dune: Awakening Chapter 2

Predecessor, a third-person MOBA from Omeda Studios, now includes full DLSS 4 support, alongside DLAA, NVIDIA Reflex, and DLSS Super Resolution. The update enhances the game’s visual clarity and responsiveness during high-stakes team battles.

Meanwhile, Dune: Awakening Chapter 2, which originally launched with DLSS 4 in June, is now available for free via a Steam Free Weekend. The update continues the story from Chapter 1 and introduces the new Lost Harvest DLC, expanding the game’s survival-crafting sandbox.

A New Era of AI-Powered Gaming

With DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation becoming standard across more titles, NVIDIA continues to lead the way in AI-powered gaming performance. As major titles integrate advanced DLSS models, RTX users can expect smoother gameplay, improved image quality, and significantly enhanced responsiveness — especially in demanding, next-gen experiences.

Gamers are encouraged to download the latest Game Ready Driver via the NVIDIA app to ensure optimal performance across all supported titles.
