Ooredoo Launches Affordable Saudi Roaming Bundles

Ooredoo has introduced new roaming bundles designed for customers travelling to Saudi Arabia this summer, offering greater flexibility and affordability as festival season in the Kingdom kicks off.

Dubbed the “Saudi Passport” bundles, the offering includes two cost-effective plans: a 7-day bundle priced at OMR 7 with 7GB of data and 70 voice minutes, and a 15-day package at OMR 14 offering 15GB and 150 minutes. Both bundles are aimed at giving Ooredoo customers robust connectivity without the worry of unexpected roaming fees.

The initiative comes as travellers flock to Saudi cities like Jeddah, Tabuk, and Abha for cultural and entertainment events throughout the summer. The company said it has partnered with top-tier local networks in Saudi Arabia to ensure seamless coverage across the country.

“Our goal is to support our customers with smart, affordable roaming solutions that match their travel needs,” said an Ooredoo spokesperson. “Whether they’re attending the Jeddah Season or exploring the southern highlands of Abha, users can stay connected, share their experiences, and manage communication costs effectively.”

The launch is part of a wider push by telecom providers in the region to improve international roaming services as outbound travel from Oman increases. Ooredoo’s competitive pricing and focus on user value are likely to appeal to younger, data-hungry travellers who rely heavily on digital connectivity while abroad.

The bundles can be activated via the Ooredoo app or by dialing the designated USSD code. Users are encouraged to check the availability and network partner details before travelling.

Industry analysts say such targeted offerings reflect changing consumer priorities, where affordability and control over usage now outweigh traditional roaming plans. With data and voice usage spiking during travel, particularly in peak holiday months, demand for reliable, cost-conscious packages has surged.

Ooredoo’s Saudi Passport bundles position the company as a strong player in the summer travel telecom market, offering what many see as a long-overdue response to customers seeking transparency and ease when roaming.

The promotion is now live for all Ooredoo prepaid and postpaid users.
