This summer, Dubai residents and visitors are invited to indulge in a uniquely nostalgic escape aboard one of the city’s most iconic attractions — the Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2). Permanently docked at Port Rashid, the storied British ocean liner turned hotel offers a distinctive mix of heritage, comfort, and curated hospitality experiences, from sea-view staycations and royal teas to classic roasts and British pub favourites.

Sea-View Getaways and Staycations

The QE2 offers a serene maritime retreat without leaving the city. Guests can enjoy:

  • A complimentary upgrade to sea-view rooms
  • Buffet breakfast at the Lido restaurant
  • Free shuttle service to Dubai Mall and Metro
  • 20% discount on food and beverages (excluding afternoon tea)

With panoramic water views and a setting steeped in oceanic legacy, the QE2’s stay packages promise a quiet escape wrapped in luxury and history.

Sunday Roast at the Queens Grill

For those craving a traditional British Sunday roast, the Queens Grill — once a fine-dining venue for royalty and dignitaries — hosts a Sunday Roast Lunch from 12:30pm to 3:30pm, priced from AED 115 per roast. Diners can expect tender cuts, crisp Yorkshire puddings, and hearty sides in a setting echoing 20th-century grandeur.

Royal Afternoon Tea

Tea time takes a regal turn every Friday and Saturday at the Queens Grill with two afternoon tea options:

  • Cunard Package (cold bites & pastries): AED 165/adult, AED 110/child
  • Britannia Package (includes hot canapés): AED 195/adult, AED 135/child

Served between 3:00pm and 6:30pm, the experience channels British refinement with a local twist. Guests must be 8+ years old and book 24 hours in advance.

Classic Pub Fare at the Golden Lion

For a casual and cozy vibe, the Golden Lion pub offers hearty British fare, from fish and chips to burgers. Highlights include:

  • Golden Hour: 50% off select drinks (4:00pm–8:00pm)
  • Teachers’ Discount: 20% off F&B daily (8:00pm–12:00am, ID required, valid for 4 guests max)

The Art of Gifting Aboard the QE2

QE2 gift vouchers are also available, offering curated packages for dining, tours, or overnight stays. Whether for a family celebration, a romantic gesture, or a corporate gift, the vouchers promise memorable experiences steeped in history and elegance.

As Dubai’s temperatures soar, the QE2 offers a cool retreat anchored in tradition and charm — an ideal choice for those seeking heritage-rich experiences this summer.
