Kuwait Telecommunications Company – stc has successfully concluded its 2025 summer training program, designed to provide university students with hands-on experience across a range of creative and technical disciplines. The initiative forms part of stc’s educational ‘upgrade’ program, a pillar of its broader corporate social responsibility efforts.

Targeting students aged 17–24, the program drew over 600 participants from universities and academic institutions across Kuwait. Its core aim was to equip students with practical skills relevant to modern industries, combining theoretical knowledge with real-world applications.

The training included specialized courses in photography and videography, cybersecurity, and specialty coffee brewing. Each course spanned one week and offered students a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on exercises.

The photography and videography course focused on visual storytelling and video editing, providing students with the skills to craft engaging media content. Participants also gained opportunities to collaborate with stc’s media team, potentially opening doors to future creative careers within the company.

The specialty coffee brewing course, conducted in partnership with the COFE App and 48 East Roastery, introduced students to the fundamentals of brewing. Hands-on sessions took place at select coffee shops featured on the COFE App, allowing students to experience the practical aspects of creating high-quality coffee blends.

Meanwhile, the cybersecurity course, led by stc’s cybersecurity team under the supervision of Omar Al Sanea, provided an introduction to the principles of securing digital environments and safeguarding information systems. Students learned about core cybersecurity practices, giving them foundational skills for careers in IT security.

stc highlighted the diverse nature of the program, which caters to both creative and technical interests. A spokesperson said:

“The summer training program focuses on areas that can add real value to students, whether it is brewing their own unique coffee blends, editing videos for content, or becoming cybersecurity experts. Each course equips participants with practical skills aligned with the evolving interests and career aspirations of today’s youth.”

The initiative underscores stc’s commitment to nurturing talent and supporting the national education ecosystem. Through the ‘upgrade’ program, the company continues to invest in skill development, providing students with experiential learning opportunities that go beyond traditional academic pathways.

By blending technical knowledge with creativity, stc’s summer training program aims to prepare the next generation of innovators and leaders in Kuwait. The program is part of a series of educational initiatives launched under the ‘upgrade’ framework, reflecting the company’s long-term strategy to empower youth with industry-ready skills.

As the program concludes, stc reaffirmed its dedication to creating enriching educational experiences that bridge the gap between theory and practice, equipping students with the tools they need to thrive in both professional and personal pursuits.
