Huawei has officially launched a suite of new products under the theme “Fashion Next”, spotlighting the HUAWEI Pura 80 Series, MatePad 11.5, and the global return of its celebrated XMAGE Awards at a grand showcase event in Dubai.

The event marked another chapter in Huawei’s mission to blend cutting-edge innovation with human-centric design, demonstrating how technology continues to reshape everyday experiences through design, performance, and creativity.

Pura 80 Series: Imaging Excellence Redefined

The highlight of the launch was the HUAWEI Pura 80 Series, a flagship range setting a new benchmark in mobile photography. The Pura 80 Pro and Ultra models feature a 1-inch Ultra Lighting HDR camera, paired with an Ultra Chroma Camera for pixel-level colour precision and detail.

The Pura 80 Ultra introduces a world-first: the Switchable Dual Telephoto Camera, integrating a large sensor and dual lens for unmatched zoom range and clarity. This imaging power is matched by a bold design inspired by monochrome glaze, merging Eastern and Western aesthetic principles with a distinctive glazed texture finish.

MatePad 11.5: Work, Learn, Create

Designed for students and young professionals, the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 is a versatile productivity tool with an 11.5-inch 2.5K HUAWEI FullView PaperMatte Display offering natural light-like comfort for the eyes. Its 6.1 mm slim profile conceals a powerful 10,100 mAh battery, ensuring long hours of work and play.

The device supports the HUAWEI M-Pencil (3rd Gen) with wireless magnetic charging and comes with upgraded software including HUAWEI Notes and GoPaint, enabling seamless creativity, note-taking, and collaboration.

XMAGE 2025: Creativity on a Global Stage

Huawei also officially announced the XMAGE Awards 2025, which opened for global submissions on June 11. Now in its eighth year, XMAGE has become one of the world’s largest mobile photography competitions, dedicated to amplifying the creative voice of Huawei mobile users.

The 2025 edition includes eight thematic categories — from “So Far So Close” to “A Heartwarming World” — and introduces XMAGE 100, a new competitive format. A diverse, internationally acclaimed judging panel will assess submissions based on photographic technique, emotional depth, artistic quality, and social relevance.

“The XMAGE platform celebrates the ability of everyday users to create art and emotion through their smartphones,” said Huawei spokespersons at the event.

In a major announcement, XMAGE 2025 will return to the Grand Palais in Paris for its Awards Ceremony and Annual Exhibition, coinciding with Paris Photo 2025. The event, themed “The World, You and Me”, is expected to shine a global spotlight on user-generated visual art.

Bringing Innovation to Life

Huawei’s Dubai showcase underlines the brand’s evolving role as a global tech trendsetter. From next-gen photography to creative productivity and immersive display technology, the company continues to deliver products that respond to user needs while championing design, accessibility, and innovation.

As the XMAGE competition brings global creativity to the cultural forefront once again, Huawei positions itself not only as a technology provider, but also as a curator of digital expression on the world stage.
