Emirates is set to celebrate Germany’s famous Oktoberfest with authentic Bavarian cuisine, festive snacks, and German-themed entertainment for customers travelling between 20 September and 5 October. The celebrations will be available onboard flights to and from Munich, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, and Frankfurt, as well as in Emirates’ German airport lounges.

Oktoberfest in the Sky
Across all cabins, travellers will enjoy a taste of Bavaria.

  • First Class: Dishes include poached Alaskan King crab, roasted pumpkin soup, chicken with mushroom dumplings, or braised veal shank with traditional sides. Dessert highlights include Kaiserschmarren with plum compote or classic apple strudel. A special Oktoberfest-themed movie snack platter of smoked turkey, beef salami, Obatzda, cheeses, and pretzels will also be served.
  • Business Class: Guests can choose from duck liver terrine or pumpkin soup, followed by braised beef short ribs or veal shank with red cabbage and Kaiser rolls, ending with baked cheesecake or apple strudel.
  • Economy Class: Traditional comfort dishes feature German potato salad or apple-raisin salad to start, mains such as chicken sausage roll with sauerkraut or paprika chicken with warm potato salad, and Black Forest cake for dessert.

All customers departing Dubai will receive a complimentary gingerbread heart decorated for Oktoberfest.

In the A380 Onboard Lounge, passengers can enjoy Bavarian-inspired sandwiches, freshly baked pretzels, and festive pastries such as Black Forest cake, plum cake, and custard-filled Krapfen.

Festivities on the Ground
Emirates lounges in Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg, and Düsseldorf will feature Oktoberfest beers alongside hearty favourites such as Käsepätzle with roasted onions, Obatzda with pretzels, Wurstsalat, chicken sausages with sauerkraut, and Bavarian potato salad.

Entertainment with a German Twist
To complete the celebrations, Emirates’ award-winning inflight entertainment system, ice, will offer 22 German films, 350 Hollywood movies dubbed in German, and 31 German music playlists and albums, helping passengers get into the festive spirit.

With triple daily flights to Frankfurt and double daily services to Munich, Düsseldorf, and Hamburg, Emirates will be offering passengers multiple opportunities to experience Oktoberfest in the sky.
