Dubai — In line with Dubai’s Year of the Family, Dubai Media has introduced a series of human resources policies and programs designed to support employees and enhance family cohesion, the organization announced on Sunday.

The company’s HR approach emphasizes flexibility and recognition of personal milestones. Initiatives include flexible working hours, hybrid work options, and dedicated days off to spend time with elderly family members or celebrate family birthdays. The WOW program, which marks occasions such as work anniversaries, newborns, and other personal milestones, further reflects the organization’s focus on valuing employees’ family lives.

Dubai Media has also expanded wellness and family-focused programs. Fitness sessions, health check-ups, family camping trips, and summer programs for employees’ children aim to combine personal wellbeing with engagement in the workplace. Additionally, cultural and recreational events and community volunteering opportunities encourage employees to involve their families in organizational and social initiatives.

Shaikha Ahmad, CEO of Dubai Media’s Human Resources Sector, said the policies “reinforce family cohesion and wellbeing, fully aligning with Dubai’s Year of the Family vision.” She added that the initiatives create a supportive ecosystem where employees can integrate professional responsibilities with meaningful family moments.

HR leaders note that the programs aim not only to improve employee satisfaction but also to cultivate a culture of belonging and sustained engagement. By integrating families into the workplace culture, Dubai Media seeks to enhance morale, loyalty, and overall workplace wellbeing while responding to employees’ evolving needs.

These measures are part of a broader strategy to position Dubai Media as a family-friendly employer, demonstrating how targeted HR policies can align organizational objectives with social and cultural priorities. Officials said the initiatives will continue to evolve, guided by employee feedback, to ensure practical and meaningful support for families.
