Dubai, UAE – Kerno Enterprises, a UAE-based enterprise IT hardware manufacturer, opened its new manufacturing facility in Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) to partners and media on February 10, showcasing the country’s first end-to-end enterprise-grade technology production on local soil. The facility is designed to produce servers, AI systems, and microelectronics while supporting the UAE’s strategic push toward technological sovereignty and advanced manufacturing.
The guided tour highlighted the full production lifecycle, from Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Through-Hole Technology (THT) assembly to testing, quality assurance, and final dispatch. Visitors observed automated assembly lines, ISO 7 cleanroom microelectronics manufacturing, and precision equipment capable of placing components within 15 micrometers, as well as 3D optical and X-ray inspection systems. The facility is expected to produce more than 60,000 enterprise systems annually in its first year, with scope to scale further.
“This facility proves that enterprise-grade technology manufacturing can be designed, built, and scaled in the UAE — to global standards and for mission-critical use,” said Chris Caswell, CEO and Co-Founder of Kerno. The move comes amid growing demand for localized digital infrastructure in the UAE, where reliance on imported servers and IT hardware has historically created longer lead times and limited control over critical technology. Kerno’s operations, supported by UAE-based R&D teams, local IP ownership, and a globally diversified supply chain, aim to reduce delivery times while meeting data-center and enterprise-grade performance standards.
Kerno’s product portfolio includes AI servers powered by NVIDIA and AMD GPUs, universal x86 servers, and enterprise storage and analytics systems, all intended for mission-critical environments. The company said local manufacturing will also allow it to better serve government, industrial, and commercial clients with high-security and high-performance technology needs.
The opening aligns with national industrial initiatives such as Operation 300bn, In-Country Value (ICV), and Make It in the Emirates, which aim to expand the UAE’s domestic manufacturing capabilities and strengthen technological independence. Analysts say such developments could accelerate the UAE’s role as a regional hub for advanced IT hardware production, providing both economic benefits and enhanced control over critical digital infrastructure.
Kerno’s facility represents one of the UAE’s most significant steps into high-tech manufacturing, combining localized production, global-standard engineering, and advanced technology integration. The company plans to scale operations over the coming years while continuing to expand its portfolio of enterprise IT systems.
