- RoyalJet confirmed its choice of CFM International during the Dubai Airshow
- LEAP-1A engines will be installed on three firm ACJ320neo orders and six additional purchase rights
RoyalJet, the premium Abu Dhabi private jet operator with a global client base, has announced its decision to equip its forthcoming ACJ320neo fleet with CFM LEAP-1A engines, which are currently on order with Airbus.
CFM International, jointly owned by GE Aerospace and Safran Aircraft Engines, is the manufacturer of the LEAP-1A.
The LEAP engine line has seen unprecedented adoption in commercial aviation, powering 4,000 aircraft in just nine years. Featuring advanced composite materials, including lightweight fan blades and ceramic matrix composites, the engine offers 15 per cent improved fuel efficiency and 15 per cent lower carbon emissions compared with the previous-generation CFM56. With sophisticated health monitoring and a global, open MRO support network, the LEAP engine delivers strong reliability for narrowbody fleets.
“CFM International and its LEAP engines have built a solid reputation in the market for its safety, reliability and fuel efficiency,” said Mohammed Husain Ahmed, Acting CEO, RoyalJet. “Their impeccable track record of being the preferred engine provider for such type of aircraft as the ACJ320neo is almost unquestionable. We are therefore excited to partner with CFM International as our aircraft engine provider as we aim to continue to deliver to customers our distinct brand of service and operational excellence that we at RoyalJet have been known for all these years.”
“We are honored to take our relationship with RoyalJet to another level,” said Gaël Méheust, President and CEO of CFM International. “This partnership reflects RoyalJet’s trust in the LEAP-1A engine’s cutting-edge technology, operational reliability, and fuel efficiency. We are proud to contribute to RoyalJet’s vision of delivering world-class service and operational excellence, and we look forward to supporting the success of their new Airbus fleet.”
RoyalJet confirmed in February that it had secured three ACJ320neo aircraft, along with six additional purchase rights, as part of its wider plan to expand its fleet offering. Long recognised as the world’s leading BBJ operator, the order marks a significant development as the company becomes a new Airbus corporate jet customer.
