After a five-month pause, the world’s largest choreographed fountain is ready to make a spectacular comeback. On October 1, the Dubai Fountain will resume its role as the beating heart of Downtown Dubai, bringing back its dazzling displays of water, light, and music.
The reopening has been eagerly awaited, drawing excitement from both UAE residents and international tourists. Many visitors have been closely following updates on social media, with some planning their trips to Dubai specifically to coincide with the fountain’s relaunch. The moment is expected to attract large crowds for its first shows, reaffirming the global appeal of one of Dubai’s most iconic landmarks.
Phase One of the renovation, completed ahead of schedule, focused on critical maintenance to safeguard the fountain’s beauty and reliability. The works included tiling, water insulation, and fresh paint, ensuring that the attraction continues to operate safely while retaining its signature elegance.
Emaar has confirmed that Phase Two of renovations will follow in Q2 2026. This next stage promises to introduce innovative new elements that will further enhance the Dubai Fountain experience, combining advanced technology and artistic creativity to deliver fresh and unforgettable spectacles for audiences worldwide.
Upon reopening, show timings will resume as before. Afternoon performances will take place daily at 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm, with Friday shows at 2:00 pm and 2:30 pm. Evening performances will run every 30 minutes from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm, giving visitors multiple opportunities to witness the fountain’s choreography.
Mohamed Alabbar, Founder of Emaar, described the fountain’s return as symbolic of Dubai’s resilience and innovation:
“The return of Dubai Fountain is a celebration of Dubai itself – its spirit, its energy, and its ability to inspire the world. This landmark has always brought people together, creating shared moments of wonder and joy. When the fountain reopens, it will remind us once again of what Dubai represents: innovation, ambition, and the creation of experiences that leave a lasting impression on everyone who visits.”
The fountain, which has long been a centerpiece for Downtown Dubai, is more than just a tourist attraction; it is a cultural symbol of the city’s creativity and ambition. Its shows, set to a blend of classical, Arabic, and world music, have drawn millions of spectators since its original launch.
Emaar continues to reaffirm its commitment to providing world-class experiences, ensuring that Dubai remains a leading global hub for leisure, culture, and innovation. The reopening marks the beginning of a bold new chapter, with audiences anticipating the upcoming Phase Two enhancements that will take the fountain to new creative heights.
As the Dubai Fountain prepares to once again light up the night sky, its triumphant return highlights not only the city’s dedication to preserving its landmarks but also its vision for continually reimagining them. With its unique blend of artistry and technology, the fountain is set to captivate and inspire yet another generation of visitors.
