iPhone 17 Launches Sept 19 in UAE and Kuwait

Apple enthusiasts in the UAE and Kuwait can mark their calendars as pre-orders for the new iPhone 17 series open on Friday, September 12, with official availability beginning a week later on September 19.

Revealed during Apple’s highly anticipated event on September 9 at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, the new iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max generated buzz for their sleek upgrades, powerful performance, and AI-driven features.

Alongside the phones, Apple also introduced its latest Apple Watch Series 11, Ultra 3, SE, and the AirPods Pro 3.2.


UAE & Kuwait to Receive iPhones in First Global Wave

According to tech blog 248AM, Kuwait will follow the same launch schedule as the United States, with pre-orders opening September 12 and devices hitting stores on September 19.

The UAE Apple website confirms the same dates, meaning customers across both countries are part of the first wave of global availability.

In the UAE, you can pre-order or buy the iPhone 17 series from:

  • ✅ Sharaf DG
  • ✅ Local telecom carriers, including Etisalat and du

Here’s what the new iPhones will cost:

iPhone 17

  • 256GB: $799
  • 512GB: $999

iPhone 17 Pro

  • 256GB: $1,099
  • 512GB: $1,299
  • 1TB: $1,499

iPhone 17 Pro Max

  • 256GB: $1,199
  • 512GB: $1,399
  • 1TB: $1,599
  • 2TB: $1,999

Local prices will vary slightly depending on VAT and import duties, but UAE and Kuwait pricing typically remains close to U.S. rates due to early market access.


What’s New in iPhone 17?

While Apple has yet to detail every internal upgrade, key expected features across the iPhone 17 series include:

  • Enhanced AI integration for photography, productivity, and Siri
  • Thinner and lighter “Air” model for casual users
  • ProMotion displays with up to 144Hz refresh rate
  • Upgraded A19 Bionic chip
  • Advanced thermal management
  • iOS 19 pre-installed
