OMODA&JAECOO is preparing to launch its JAECOO J7 SHS (Super Hybrid System) in the UAE in mid-September, promising motorists a new blend of comfort, efficiency, and long-range capability.

The SUV is designed for drivers who want the quiet, clean experience of electric driving without concerns about running out of charge. Capable of an ultra-long driving range exceeding 1,200km on a full tank and charge, the J7 allows commuters to travel across the Emirates with minimal refuelling or recharging stops.

For daily urban journeys, the vehicle provides up to 90km of pure electric range, making it well-suited for emission-free school runs, office commutes, and short trips. When longer distances are required, the hybrid’s fuel backup ensures uninterrupted travel – an attractive proposition for inter-Emirate drives or desert excursions.

Efficiency and performance

The Super Hybrid System integrates a high-performance engine, efficient transmission, and advanced battery. Together, they deliver fuel consumption of less than 6 litres per 100km, reducing costs at the pump while supporting more sustainable mobility.

The model has been engineered for the UAE’s diverse driving conditions, from heavy traffic in Dubai to long desert routes, with advanced safety systems including intelligent lane support, automatic emergency braking, and battery protection.

Comfort and technology

Inside, the J7 SHS features a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, and a smart infotainment system. Outdoor enthusiasts can also take advantage of Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, which allows the car to power external devices during camping, picnics, or emergencies.

Shawn Xu, CEO of OMODA&JAECOO Automobile International, said:
“Drivers in the UAE lead busy, dynamic lives that take them from city streets to desert highways. The JAECOO J7 SHS is built to match that lifestyle – offering long range, eco-friendly urban driving, and the confidence to go anywhere without compromise.”

Global expansion

The JAECOO J7 SHS is the first model in the company’s Super Hybrid range to debut in the UAE, part of its wider push for cleaner mobility solutions.

Its launch follows the company’s milestone achievement in July, when the parent group entered the 2025 Fortune Global 500 at 233rd place and surpassed 5 million global vehicle exports, strengthening its rapid international growth trajectory.

With the J7 SHS, OMODA&JAECOO aims to make hybrid technology more practical and appealing for UAE motorists seeking efficiency, sustainability, and versatility in a single vehicle.
