Saudi low-cost carrier flynas has announced that it will resume direct flights between Jeddah and Kuwait from 1 November, expanding its regional network in line with the Kingdom’s aviation and tourism strategies.

The airline will operate three weekly flights between King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Kuwait International Airport. This will raise flynas’ total flights between the two countries to 10 per week, as the carrier already runs daily services on the Riyadh–Kuwait route.

The expansion forms part of flynas’ long-term growth plan, launched under the theme “We Connect the World to the Kingdom”. The strategy is aligned with Saudi Arabia’s National Civil Aviation Strategy, which aims to link the Kingdom with 250 international destinations, accommodate 330 million passengers, and host 150 million tourists annually by 2030.

The airline’s new route is also expected to support the Pilgrims Experience Program, which seeks to make travel to the Two Holy Mosques more accessible for international visitors.

“Resuming flights between Jeddah and Kuwait will enhance connectivity for business and leisure travellers and further strengthen ties between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait,” the company said in a statement.

Founded in 2007, flynas has grown to become a leading global low-cost airline and was recently ranked the world’s best LCC in the Middle East. It operates more than 2,000 flights weekly across 139 routes to over 70 destinations in 30 countries. Since its launch, the airline has carried more than 80 million passengers, and it aims to expand its network to 165 destinations within the next few years.

The Jeddah–Kuwait route is expected to contribute to Saudi Arabia’s broader Vision 2030 goals, designed to diversify the economy and strengthen the Kingdom’s position as a global aviation and tourism hub.

Passengers can book tickets for the new service through flynas’ website, mobile app, call centre, or travel agents.
