Schneider Electric has announced its Q2 2025 extra-financial results, showcasing significant strides in sustainability as the company enters the final phase of its 2021–2025 Schneider Sustainability Impact (SSI) program. With just six months remaining in the initiative, Schneider Electric posted an SSI score of 8.06 out of 10—its strongest yet—underscoring momentum across environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics.

The quarter was marked by both international recognition and measurable on-the-ground impact. For the second consecutive year, TIME and Statista named Schneider Electric the World’s Most Sustainable Company. The accolade followed its earlier recognition as Europe’s Most Sustainable Corporation by Corporate Knights, further solidifying the firm’s global leadership in ESG transformation.

Beyond awards, Schneider Electric achieved a key target by training over 1 million individuals in energy management—well ahead of schedule. This milestone coincided with World Youth Skills Day 2025 and highlights the success of the company’s Youth Education & Entrepreneurship Program, which operates in over 60 countries.

Training for Transformation
The training initiatives are rooted in a purpose-driven approach that merges education with digital innovation. In Bangladesh’s Cox’s Bazar, digital twin technology has empowered displaced communities with hands-on skills in solar panel repair and e-waste recycling. In Brazil, mobile training benches bring renewable energy education directly to incarcerated youth, supporting their reintegration and reducing recidivism. Meanwhile, Schneider’s “Conserve My Planet” program fosters environmental stewardship among students in India, Kenya, Vietnam, and Thailand.

“These programs prove that when education meets technology and purpose, systemic transformation is within reach,” said Esther Finidori, Schneider Electric’s Chief Sustainability Officer. “Surpassing the 1 million mark in energy training is a proud moment, reminding us of what’s possible when purpose meets action.”

Environmental Progress at Scale
The company also reported that 734 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions have been saved or avoided for customers since 2018—crossing a major environmental threshold. Its Zero Carbon Project, aimed at supply chain decarbonization, has now reduced operational emissions by 48% among its top 1,000 suppliers, nearing its year-end target of 50%.

Social impact has also grown, with the Decent Work Program expanding to 79% coverage globally, reflecting significant improvements in labour conditions across regions like East Asia, Japan, and the Middle East.

Accolades and Industry Recognition
Schneider’s leadership was reinforced with several recent recognitions:

  • Ranked #1 in Gartner’s Top 25 Supply Chain 2025 list
  • Winner of the TIME100 Companies Impact award in “Impact for Sustainability”
  • Honoured for “Best ESG Information” by the Labrador Transparency Awards
  • Recipient of the “Corporate Social Excellence” award from Rutgers Institute
  • Named one of Europe’s Best Employers by the Financial Times

With a sharpened focus on delivery, Schneider Electric remains committed to accelerating progress and delivering lasting impact across all fronts in the final months of its current SSI program.
