Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) has marked a significant milestone in its talent development journey with the graduation of the first cohort from its High-Flyer Development Programme, a key initiative designed to cultivate internal leadership and accelerate career growth across the organisation.

The graduation ceremony took place in the presence of H.E. Jawaan Awaidha Al Khaili, Chairman of ADIB, along with board members, Group CEO Mohamed Abdelbary, and senior executives. The event celebrated the accomplishments of employees who completed the six-month programme focused on building future-ready leaders.

Launched in September 2024 in collaboration with AFAQ, the High-Flyer Programme was tailored to high-potential employees across ADIB’s business units. Participants were exposed to executive mentorship, cross-functional training, and strategic innovation projects, designed to strengthen leadership capability and drive transformation within the bank.

The programme curriculum included intensive modules on change management, high-performance teamwork, customer-centric leadership, performance measurement, and effective communication. All components were aligned with global best practices and supported by partnerships with international academic institutions.

Mohamed Abdelbary, Group CEO, stated:

“These graduates represent the future of ADIB. Through this programme, we are investing in their potential and supporting their journey to becoming the next generation of banking leaders. Talent development remains central to our strategy as we prepare for the future of financial services.”

Bushra Al Shehhi, Group Chief Human Resources Officer, echoed the sentiment:

“At ADIB, we are committed to building a culture of continuous learning and empowerment. Our focus on structured upskilling ensures our people are ready to lead in a dynamic, evolving industry.”

The High-Flyer initiative forms part of ADIB Vision 2035, the bank’s long-term roadmap aimed at creating a future-ready, resilient organisation anchored in strong leadership and internal capability.

With this successful graduation, ADIB reaffirms its position as a forward-looking financial institution that places human capital at the heart of institutional success. The bank plans to expand such programmes to further deepen leadership expertise and drive sustainable growth in the years ahead.
