Artificial intelligence company xAI has selected Oracle to offer its advanced Grok 3 models via the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Generative AI service, expanding access to high-performance AI across a wide range of enterprise use cases, from research and content creation to business process automation.

The partnership not only enables broader deployment of xAI’s cutting-edge technology but also leverages OCI’s scalable, secure, and cost-effective AI infrastructure to support training and inference for the next generation of Grok models.

“Grok 3 represents a leap forward in AI capabilities, and Oracle’s advanced data platform will accelerate its impact on enterprises,” said Jimmy Ba, co-founder of xAI.

Founded in March 2023 by a team of leading AI researchers, xAI focuses on developing models that advance reasoning and universal understanding. Grok 3, its latest offering, showcases notable improvements in mathematics, coding, and general intelligence, underpinned by large-scale reinforcement learning.

Through the collaboration with Oracle, Grok models will benefit from OCI’s enterprise-grade features, which include robust data governance, management, and security. Importantly, all data transferred to Grok via Oracle is processed using zero data retention endpoints, adding an extra layer of protection for sensitive enterprise information.

“By bringing xAI’s cutting-edge Grok models to our customers, we are expanding the possibilities of AI in the enterprise,” said Greg Pavlik, Executive Vice President of AI and Data Management Services at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Oracle’s AI infrastructure includes bare metal GPU instances tailored for demanding workloads like generative AI, NLP, computer vision, and recommendation systems. The company’s strategy emphasizes placing powerful AI capabilities close to enterprise data while maintaining scalability, security, and flexibility.

This partnership is already generating interest from major enterprise customers. Windstream, a prominent telecommunications provider, is evaluating how Grok’s multimodal models could reshape its internal workflows.

“We think there could be real advantages to leveraging Grok models via OCI Generative AI service,” said Kaushik Bhanderi, Senior Vice President at Windstream. “Integrating language comprehension and reasoning to propose meaningful actions is exactly the kind of intelligence we need in fast-evolving industries like telecom.”

With thousands of AI developers already building on OCI, the inclusion of xAI’s Grok models further expands Oracle’s growing ecosystem of generative and agentic AI capabilities, positioning both companies at the frontier of enterprise AI transformation.
