The capital’s latest creative hub has unveiled a new schedule of events and workshops to nurture the developing arts scene.

Warehouse 421, which opened its doors to 10,000 visitors over three days in November, has launched Wednesdays at the Warehouse, which will run every two weeks from 20th January to 27th April.

The programme will include free workshops, panel discussions, film screenings and exhibitions for the public.

Kicking off the creative calendar will be a mixed media collage workshop inspired by the UAE’s desert landscape, as well as a collage session using family photographs, a natural material mould-making class and a textile printing session.

Panel discussions led by local artists and historians will explore different sides to the art scene, heritage and history of Abu Dhabi.

Short and feature-length film screenings will also be shown throughout the programme, showcasing a variety of regional talent and themes.

Faisal Al Hassan, programming manager of the event, highlighted that the new programme is as much for culture vultures as those just getting into the arts: “Through a diversity of workshops, panel discussions and film screenings amongst other activities, Wednesdays at the Warehouse presents unique opportunities for both the avid culture enthusiast and the artistically curious, to be part of the constantly growing art scene in the country.”
