Union Coop has reaffirmed its operational readiness and strategic preparedness to maintain the uninterrupted availability of essential consumer goods amid ongoing regional tensions. The UAE-based retail cooperative said its supply chains continue to operate with high efficiency and adaptability, ensuring that consumers face no disruption in accessing basic commodities.

In a statement, Union Coop emphasized that it holds a sufficient strategic stock of essential goods, especially those produced locally. The organization highlighted its prioritization of national products as a vital component of its strategy to mitigate any potential supply chain disruptions.

Mohamed Al Hashemi, CEO of Union Coop, stated, “Our expansion and the opening of new branches have significantly enhanced our storage capacity and operational agility. These developments have enabled us to ensure balanced and widespread availability of locally produced goods throughout the country.”

He noted that Union Coop has already taken proactive steps to expand its partnerships with local suppliers and bolster national industries, aligning its efforts with the UAE’s broader goals of food security and economic self-sufficiency.

Al Hashemi also cited the cooperative’s resilience during previous crises, including the COVID-19 pandemic. During such times, Union Coop was instrumental in maintaining stable markets and a steady supply of essential goods, reinforcing its credibility and trust among consumers.

The cooperative continues to coordinate closely with relevant authorities to maintain high levels of preparedness. Each Union Coop branch operates under flexible, carefully designed plans to meet consumer needs without interruption, regardless of emerging challenges.

Union Coop reiterated its long-standing commitment to the community and national economy, underscoring the role of local partnerships and strong logistics infrastructure in securing the UAE’s food supply chain.

As regional uncertainties persist, Union Coop’s robust strategy aims to safeguard consumer confidence and ensure the availability of vital resources across all areas it serves.
