Turkish Airlines has been named the Best Airline in Europe at the 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards, securing the prestigious honour for the tenth time and reaffirming its place among the world’s aviation elite. The announcement was made at a high-profile ceremony held at the historic Air and Space Museum in Paris on 17 June.

The airline, known for operating flights to more countries than any other carrier, also clinched eight awards in total, including recognitions for both its business and economy class services.

Alongside the European title, Turkish Airlines was awarded:

  • Best Airline in Southern Europe
  • World’s Best Business Class Onboard Catering
  • Best Business Class in Europe
  • Best Business Class in Southern Europe
  • Best Business Class Onboard Catering in Europe
  • Best Economy Class in Europe
  • Best Economy Class Onboard Catering in Europe

The accolades are based on direct feedback from millions of international passengers, providing an independent benchmark of excellence within the airline industry.

Commenting on the achievement, Prof. Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee of Turkish Airlines, said:

“To be recognized once again as the Best Airline in Europe by our valued guests is a source of immense pride for the entire Turkish Airlines family. This achievement, along with other awards, is a testament to the relentless effort and passion of our team. We are driven by our timeless tradition of Turkish hospitality.”

Skytrax CEO Edward Plaisted also praised the carrier’s consistent performance:

“Turkish Airlines continues to deliver a carefully crafted product that resonates strongly with passengers—from the warmth of its hospitality to the quality of its onboard dining.”

The airline’s onboard catering, a standout feature of the awards, is developed in partnership with Turkish DO&CO, known for elevating inflight meals into gourmet experiences.

Turkish Airlines’ global route network, which spans six continents, has earned it a Guinness World Record for flying to the most countries worldwide. This expansive reach, coupled with its focus on sustainability and innovation, has helped position the airline as a leader in the industry.

The 2025 Skytrax recognition not only underscores Turkish Airlines’ operational excellence but also reflects its enduring commitment to guest satisfaction and the brand of warm, refined hospitality it represents.

With demand for international travel rising, Turkish Airlines appears poised to continue shaping global aviation standards in the years ahead.
