The Gang Unveils Riyadh Season on Roblox – Saudi Arabia’s Largest Festival Goes Virtual

Games developer studio The Gang, in collaboration with Big Time Creative Shop, has launched a spectacular new Roblox world inspired by Riyadh Season — Saudi Arabia’s biggest cultural and entertainment festival. The virtual recreation brings the excitement, creativity, and atmosphere of the real-world event into the Roblox universe, combining gaming, tourism, and interactive fun for audiences around the world.

Adding to the thrill, several players from the USA, UK, and Saudi Arabia will have the opportunity to win 1 million Robux each. Robux, the official currency of Roblox, carries a value of more than $7,500 per million, offering players an additional incentive to join the experience.

The immersive virtual world reimagines Riyadh Season’s energy by transforming its landmarks and attractions into a vibrant digital playground. Players can enjoy a series of themed games and challenges, including treasure hunts, Obbys, Tennis, and Whack-A-Mole, while exploring virtual destinations such as Paris, Kuwait, Italy, and South Korea. The adventure is complete with dazzling fireworks displays that capture the celebratory spirit of the real event.

Coinciding with the physical Riyadh Season — which runs from October through March — the Roblox world mirrors the festival’s six months of music, sports, and cultural activities. The live event takes place across major venues including Boulevard City, Boulevard World, and Kingdom Arena. Since its launch in 2019, Riyadh Season has evolved into one of the largest winter festivals globally, drawing more than 18 million visitors in 2024.

The Gang was selected to bring the Riyadh Season experience to digital life for global audiences. Working closely with Big Time Creative Shop, the studio designed an experience that operates both as an engaging Roblox game and a faithful reflection of the real festival’s excitement and diversity.

You can really feel the sense of enthusiasm, ambition and momentum within the Saudi gaming ecosystem.”

As the season unfolds, players can gather golden tickets and combine UGC items to unlock an exclusive Riyadh Season Robot avatar. The world will continue to expand with regular content drops, competitions featuring major prizes, and new areas — including the upcoming Beast Land zone and two mini-games inspired by boxing and wrestling events — keeping the experience dynamic throughout the festival.

Roblox, which has over 380 million monthly active users and 100 million daily players, remains one of the world’s most popular gaming platforms, with users spending an average of nearly three hours on the site every day.
