Global digital platform provider Tecnotree has secured a five-year, multi-country contract with a leading Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) to overhaul its digital infrastructure across the United Kingdom and Europe. The agreement, valued at USD 19.58 million, marks a significant move for the Finnish firm as it expands its presence in developed telecom markets.

Under the new deal, Tecnotree will replace the MVNO’s legacy systems with its AI-native, cloud-based Digital Business Support System (BSS) platform. The transformation aims to enhance operational agility, improve customer experience through real-time personalization, and enable a range of new financial and telecom services.

Deployment is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2025, with revenue recognition also expected to commence during that period. The project underscores the growing demand among European MVNOs for flexible, future-ready digital infrastructure to stay competitive in a saturated telecom landscape.

“This announcement exemplifies the kind of agile, AI-native transformation that TM Forum’s Open Digital Architecture was created to support,” said George Glass, CTO at TM Forum. “By embracing open standards and cloud-native design, Tecnotree is enabling MVNOs to unlock speed, intelligence, and interoperability at scale.”

The initiative will see the integration of Tecnotree’s Sensa Intelligence Platform, enabling machine learning-powered orchestration and automation across operations. It also includes the Diwa financial layer, providing digital wallet capabilities for loyalty, payments, and financial inclusion, alongside real-time customer value management and consent-based monetization.

“We are not just deploying systems—we are delivering the future,” said Padma Ravichander, CEO of Tecnotree. “This collaboration represents the new paradigm of telecom transformation: lean, AI-native, ethically governed, and designed for human-centric scale.”

The transformation project is aligned with TM Forum’s Open Digital Architecture (ODA), a global standard aimed at accelerating digital evolution in telecoms through open APIs and modular platforms.

Prianca Ravichander, Tecnotree’s CMO and CCO, said: “This isn’t just a system swap—it’s a strategic reset. With Tecnotree’s digital core at the center, we’re enabling real-time, value-led engagement across services, networks, and financial touchpoints.”

Strategic and Technical Highlights:

  • AI-Native Architecture: Modular, microservices-based BSS with real-time decisioning.
  • Composable Platform: Agile catalog management, product creation, and monetization.
  • Financial Services Integration: Embedded Diwa wallet for digital transactions and loyalty.
  • Multi-Country Scalability: Federated control with localized adaptability across European markets.
  • TM Forum Compliance: Open standards-based platform supporting ecosystem partnerships.

This contract positions Tecnotree as a key enabler for MVNOs aiming to transition from traditional telecom models to digitally intelligent, service-centric operations. It also highlights a broader industry trend: decoupling infrastructure from innovation to enable telecom providers to remain agile and customer-focused in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
