Sharjah has rounded off its 54th Eid Al Etihad (Union Day) festivities, finishing a programme that highlighted the nation’s cultural story, progress, innovation and sense of shared community. The celebrations welcomed attendees from across the UAE and around the world.

Spanning from 19 November to 2 December, the event delivered more than 250 activities throughout Sharjah’s various regions. Attendance surpassed 233,000 people, underlining the unique cultural atmosphere that distinguishes each part of the emirate.

The line-up featured maritime and ground parades, creative educational sessions, and exhibitions showcasing Emirati heritage. Technology-focused zones, led by Emirati youth, offered robotic demonstrations and smart-tech experiences, while traditional arts and music added to the festive atmosphere.

Sustainability played an important role, with numerous activities promoting eco-friendly materials and workshops aimed at teaching environmental awareness. Visitors also had the chance to explore traditional craftsmanship and Emirati arts, building a bridge between cultural heritage and contemporary innovation. The programme fostered cultural interaction and created an enriching experience that merged heritage, learning, creativity, technology and community spirit.

Families, cultural associations, public-sector bodies and institutions were all highly active throughout the event. This year’s edition evolved into a global moment that represented the UAE’s unity, diversity and vibrant cultural landscape.

The celebrations highlighted a people-first approach that strengthens national identity, values cultural differences, encourages sustainable practices and embraces innovative global ideas. By incorporating advanced technologies, the event showcased the UAE’s creativity and commitment to unity and progress.

This edition reinforced Sharjah’s status as a world-renowned cultural destination that brings together tradition, art, technology and education. It demonstrated the emirate’s leadership in hosting major international events and promoting cultural exchange, creativity and global collaboration.
