Rateel Alshehri, aged 14, hosted the launch of Trump Plaza Jeddah, a USD 1 billion development by Dar Global with The Trump Organization. The event showed the growing role of young Saudis on the world stage.

Rateel served as the event host and introduced key international leaders. These included Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of The Trump Organization, Yousef Al Shelash, Chairman of Dar Al Arkan, and Ziad El Chaar, CEO of Dar Global. Her presence showed trust in the next generation.

“It was an honour to host the launch of Trump Plaza Jeddah and to be part of a moment that reflects Saudi Arabia’s ambition, confidence, and global outlook,” said Rateel Al Shehri. “Seeing visionary projects like this come to life in our country is truly inspiring.”

“Hosting this launch was a proud moment for me. It showed how Saudi youth can contribute meaningfully to global conversations and stand confidently on international platforms,” she added.

Her role at this major investment event highlights a wider shift in Saudi Arabia. Young people now play an active role in shaping the future. They are part of key decisions that affect business and growth.

Rateel Al Shehri is known as one of the region’s youngest media leaders. She runs Rateel Alpha Talk, the Middle East’s youngest podcast platform. On the show, she interviews global figures about leadership and change.

She has built a large online following of more than two million people. At the Cambridge Global Webinar 2025, she spoke about purpose and motivation, saying: “It’s okay not to know your purpose yet, you’ll find it by trying, not by waiting.”

In 2025, she received a nomination at the Joy Awards. She was the youngest nominee in her category. The moment showed that young creators can earn recognition at top industry events.

Through her Meet & Inspire by Rateel series, she brings together teenage girls across Saudi Arabia. She describes it as ‘the Kingdom’s first healthy teen community for girls’. The events focus on mentoring and creative expression.

Alshehri also attends major business and media events, including iktva 2025 and the Forbes Sustainability Leaders’ Summit. She links youth ideas with business and innovation, giving a clear voice to her generation.
