Regnology, a global software provider specialising in regulatory reporting and supervisory technology, will host its 32nd Annual RegTech Convention in November.
The event, running from 17–19 November 2025 in Frankfurt, Germany, and 20 November in Zürich, Switzerland, is expected to draw more than 2,000 participants from over 120 countries. In total, more than 40 sessions will be held, offering a mix of keynote speeches, panel discussions and knowledge-sharing opportunities.
New era of regulatory intelligence
This year’s theme is “Straight-Through-Reporting (STR): Entering a New Era of Regulatory Intelligence.” Inspired by Straight-Through Processing in capital markets, STR aims to transform regulatory reporting into a more seamless, data-driven and collaborative system.
Key topics on the agenda include cryptocurrency reporting, artificial intelligence, granular data, Basel IV (CRR3), and new global tax frameworks such as CARF and DAC8. Dedicated sessions will also focus on supervisory technology (SupTech), regulatory technology (RegTech), and tax compliance.
Distinguished speakers
Among the keynote speakers is Tomas Sedlacek, international economist and author, who will address the state of global regulatory reporting in light of geopolitical shifts.
Jan Hendrik Schmidt, senior adviser and head of the Artificial Intelligence Hub at the European Central Bank’s Horizontal Supervision Directorate, will discuss the evolution of regulatory data — from being a compliance byproduct to serving as critical strategic infrastructure.
More than 60 other speakers from global supervisory bodies, regulators and financial institutions are scheduled to participate. These include representatives from the European Central Bank, the Austrian National Bank, the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority, the Central Bank of Ireland, Commerzbank, and FlatexDEGIRO.
Expanding global footprint
In addition to its European programme, Regnology will expand the convention with two new regional editions in New York and Singapore. Local community events will also be held in London, Paris, Warsaw, Geneva, Zurich and Bellinzona.
Rob Mackay, Regnology’s chief executive, said the event was timely given the pace of change in financial markets.
“Straight-Through-Reporting has the potential to be as transformative for regulation as STP was for capital markets,” he said. “This convention will bring together regulators, supervisors and financial institutions to develop more resilient reporting frameworks for the future.”
Open access
The RegTech Convention is free to attend for financial authorities and institutions, both in person and online. The event will also be livestreamed, with sessions available on demand afterwards.
Organisers say the event continues to provide a global platform where regulators and industry can meet to exchange ideas and prepare for the next phase of financial supervision.
