Ooredoo Celebrates Khareef With New Tribute Song

As mist rolls into the southern mountains of Dhofar, so too does a wave of melody and celebration. Telecom giant Ooredoo has unveiled a new tribute song dedicated to the spirit of Khareef, the annual monsoon season that transforms the landscape and unites communities across Oman.

Far from a commercial pitch, the song is a heartfelt homage to Dhofar and its people, performed by four of Oman’s most well-known digital creators: Mohammed Al Arimi, Taj Al Balushi, Ibrahim Al-Kindi, and Abdullah Al Ghafri. Each brings their own regional roots, storytelling flair, and musical energy, weaving a tapestry of local pride through music.

Streaming now on YouTube, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and Spotify, the track blends traditional rhythms with modern beats — capturing the feel of Khareef in both sound and sentiment. “It’s not about Ooredoo. It’s about Dhofar. It’s about you,” the company notes in its campaign message.

This launch marks more than just a musical moment. It kicks off a full season of cultural programming, live activations, and exclusive offers by Ooredoo across the region. As families, travellers, and locals descend on Salalah and beyond for the cool rains and lush green vistas, the song is intended to be a soundtrack to shared memories.

“Ooredoo understands that Khareef is more than weather; it’s a season of stories, laughter, and coming together,” said a company spokesperson. “With this track, we honour not only the beauty of Dhofar, but the voices that bring it to life every year.”

Each influencer featured in the song highlights a different region and perspective, providing a mosaic of Dhofari culture. Their collaboration speaks to the unity and diversity that the Khareef season inspires.

The initiative is part of a wider cultural engagement strategy by Ooredoo, aiming to go beyond traditional telecom offerings and foster a deeper connection with the communities it serves. Through music, storytelling, and live events, the company is carving a role as both a service provider and a cultural participant.

Whether you’re in the misty hills of Salalah or watching from afar, Ooredoo invites all to listen, share, and experience the magic of Khareef through this unique musical tribute.

As Oman’s southern jewel begins to bloom with rain-fed vitality, the song is set to become an anthem of the season — a reminder that some feelings, like Khareef, are best shared together.
