Riyadh will host the Development Finance Conference “MOMENTUM” from 9 to 11 December 2025 at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center. The event, organised by the National Development Fund (NDF), will be held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the NDF. This year’s edition carries the theme “Leading Development Transformation.”
H.E. Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri, Vice Chairman of the NDF Board of Directors, extended his thanks to His Royal Highness for supporting the conference. He noted that the event symbolises the Kingdom’s continuing transformation efforts and operates as a strategic platform to advance national and international collaboration in development finance.
Speaking about the significance of the gathering, H.E. Al-Tuwaijri commented: “MOMENTUM 2025 is more than a conference; it represents a new pathway for comprehensive and sustainable development. It aims to maximize developmental impact across society and the environment through a thriving and sustainable economy, while showcasing the Kingdom’s position on the global stage as a leading destination for development transformation.”
The conference intends to reinforce the strategic ambitions of the NDF and its associated development funds and banks by enhancing sector-wide expertise, improving the efficiency of the development ecosystem, and ensuring that the sector is aligned with national priorities for sustainable impact.
MOMENTUM reaffirms Saudi Arabia’s commitment to driving forward sustainable development. It demonstrates the NDF’s leadership in enabling transformation and fosters integration between national development institutions. The event provides an influential platform for discussing the future of development finance and aligning efforts with the aspirations of Vision 2030.
A notable focus of the conference is on the growing contribution of the private sector and SMEs to the development finance environment. The event highlights their essential role as catalysts for economic diversification, innovation, and job creation.
Expected attendees include members of the royal family, senior officials, corporate executives, international leaders, and specialists. More than 100 expert speakers from over 120 global and local organisations will participate, underscoring the event’s status as a prominent national forum supporting the establishment of a strong financing ecosystem.
Through organising MOMENTUM, the NDF enhances its position as a central development enabler and a key driver in the Kingdom’s development finance sector, supported by its 12 affiliated funds and banks.
The event will also boost coordination among development organisations and international financial bodies, while fostering valuable partnerships across the public and private sectors to ensure the effective deployment of resources in pursuit of Vision 2030’s strategic objectives.
