The new retail outlets will occupy approximately 5,534.48 sqm, while the VOX Cinemas multiplex will span 7,632.93 sqm, totalling 13,167.41 sqm of Gross Leasable Area.
This partnership will introduce the first standalone store in Saudi Arabia for Japanese beauty brand Shiseido. It will also see lululemon, Crate & Barrel, and Abercrombie & Fitch opening flagship stores at Diriyah Square, alongside new locations for AllSaints, CB2, and Hollister.
The signing ceremony was held at Diriyah Company’s headquarters, attended by Jerry Inzerillo, Group Chief Executive Officer of Diriyah Company, and Ahmed Galal Ismail, Chief Executive Officer of Majid Al Futtaim Holding, along with senior executives from both organisations.
Jerry Inzerillo, Group CEO of Diriyah Company, remarked, “We are enormously proud to partner with Majid Al Futtaim, one of the region’s giants in lifestyle and entertainment. Their decision to bring this exceptional portfolio of brands to Diriyah, including three flagship stores, is a testament to the confidence the retail community has in our vision. Diriyah Square will be a place of discovery and delight, and this partnership is a foundational step in creating an unparalleled shopping and entertainment destination for residents and visitors alike.”
Ahmed Galal Ismail, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Holding, added, “Diriyah is poised to become a global beacon of culture, heritage, and innovation, and we are proud to contribute to this transformative national project. Diriyah Square is envisioned as a pedestrian-friendly precinct that merges global brands with authentic Saudi luxury, culture, and leisure. Once complete, it will feature over 400 premium retail brands, luxury boutiques, and a wide range of dining concepts.
The agreement comes after the recent awarding of a $600 million (SAR 2.249 billion) construction contract to Salini Saudi Arabia Co. Ltd. for the development of Diriyah Square, which will be built above one of the largest underground car parks in the world, offering more than 10,500 parking spaces.
As part of the broader Diriyah project aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, the development is expected to contribute around $18.6 billion (SAR 70 billion) to the national economy, generate nearly 180,000 jobs, and accommodate approximately 100,000 residents upon completion.
