LG Electronics has been recognised with 17 awards at the inaugural IFA 2025 Innovation Awards, including the prestigious Best of IFA title for its transparent OLED television.

The new awards, launched this year, celebrate products that set benchmarks in innovation, technology, design and market impact. More than 1,800 companies took part, with winners announced across 16 categories including Mobility, Home Appliances, Home Entertainment, Design and Smart Home.

Transparent TV takes centre stage

LG’s SIGNATURE OLED T, the world’s first wireless transparent TV, was awarded Best of IFA and Best in Home Entertainment. The double recognition underscores LG’s leadership in television technology, continuing its legacy of pioneering OLED innovations.

The product’s combination of wireless capability and transparent display is seen as a major breakthrough in the home entertainment sector, redefining how TVs integrate into modern living spaces.

Category bests across multiple sectors

Beyond its headline win, LG claimed five Category Best awards and 11 Honoree recognitions, highlighting its broad influence across the consumer technology landscape.

In Mobility, LG’s Spielraum earned the Best in Mobility award. This AI-powered compact cabin merges wellness, entertainment and smart appliances, expanding LG’s “AI Home” concept into mobile spaces.

In Accessibility, LG’s Comfort Kit secured Best in Accessibility Focused Product, praised for inclusive design that improves usability for people of all ages and abilities.

In Home Appliances, the company received the Best award for its AI Sense Clean Dishwasher and Microplastic Filter. The dishwasher adjusts wash cycles using AI, while the filter addresses microplastic release in laundry, combining convenience with sustainability.

Honoree recognitions strengthen global standing

LG also earned four Honoree awards in Home Appliances for its WashTower, Washer and Dryer with Heat Pump, Robot Vacuum with Built-in Station, and Wet & Dry Stick Vacuum Cleaner. Each showcased AI features and energy-efficient designs.

In Design, four LG products were recognised for their blend of style and practicality. The Washer & Tumble Dryer Pair, TrueSteam Dishwasher, Next Massage Recliner and LG Styler Mini were praised for integrating seamlessly into modern lifestyles.

The company also received recognition in Smart Home, with the Robot Vacuum with Objet Station winning attention for automated docking, ThinQ compatibility and smart scheduling.

Finally, in Home Entertainment, the LG Wireless OLED TV (M5) and LG StanbyME 2 received Honoree titles, reinforcing the company’s global leadership in display innovation.

Expanding global influence

A spokesperson said the awards reflect LG’s commitment to advancing technology across multiple fields while maintaining a focus on sustainability and design.

With wins spanning from mobility to home appliances, LG has not only dominated the first IFA Innovation Awards but also cemented its status as one of the world’s most trusted technology pioneers.
