Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, met with the Steering Committee of the ‘Season of Wulfa’ initiative on Wednesday to review its programs and recent developments.

Launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the initiative celebrates cultural occasions and promotes authentic Emirati values. It focuses on three pillars—Reflection, Connection, and Blessing—to strengthen family bonds and highlight Arab and Islamic traditions.

Her Highness reviewed activities from the Hag Al Laila celebrations on 2 February, which drew participation from residents of diverse nationalities. She also assessed the ongoing ‘Ramadan in Dubai’ programs and plans for the upcoming ‘Eid in Dubai’ festivities, emphasizing community engagement and cultural values.

The meeting included senior officials from Dubai government authorities, such as the Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, Dubai Police, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Media Office, Knowledge and Human Development Authority, and the Dubai Future Foundation.

The initiative runs more than 50 activities across 30 locations, including neighborhoods, markets, and cultural sites. Dubai Culture coordinates the programs with government departments, private sector partners, and local communities to ensure broad participation and engagement.

Officials said the ‘Season of Wulfa’ strengthens family cohesion, celebrates shared traditions, and encourages residents to connect with Dubai’s cultural heritage. The programs also aim to make heritage accessible, turning neighborhoods and historic sites into vibrant spaces for community participation.
