Kodak Unveils High-Speed Scanners for Middle East

Kodak Alaris has announced the launch of its next-generation KODAK S5000 Series production scanners and KODAK Capture Pro 7.0 software, designed to accelerate digital transformation across high-demand sectors in the Middle East.

With scanning speeds reaching up to 210 sheets per minute, the S5000 Series is tailored for industries where speed, accuracy, and document integrity are critical—including banking, insurance, healthcare, and government.

“Across the Middle East, businesses are under intense pressure to digitise operations quickly and accurately,” said Naji Kazak, Vice President for EMEIA & APAC at Kodak Alaris. “The new S5000 Series and Capture Pro 7.0 ensure that no critical data is lost and that key customer interactions are handled seamlessly.”

The flagship S5210 model tops the range, processing up to 210 sheets per minute, with the S5180 and S5160 offering 180 and 160 sheets per minute, respectively. A standout feature is tri-stream scanning, which allows each page to be captured in three formats at once—for example, an archive-quality image, a workflow-optimised version, and a colour copy for client-facing use.

Powering the series is a 32-core image processor and Dynamic Flow technology, distributing processing between hardware and software to maintain consistent throughput, even with mixed or complex scan jobs.

The scanners are also engineered for reliability. Features such as ultrasonic double-feed detection, metal and crease sensors, and intelligent document protection reduce the risk of jams or damage—especially important in sectors handling fragile or sensitive records.

The devices also feature an intuitive touchscreen and real-time consumables monitoring, helping operators reduce downtime during high-volume processing.

Complementing the new hardware is KODAK Capture Pro 7.0, a major software upgrade featuring a 64-bit architecture and tile-based user interface. Built for scalability, it enables organisations to manage complex capture workflows more efficiently, integrating seamlessly with existing systems.

Kazak noted that automation is key to helping organisations unlock productivity. “Whether it’s faster claim approvals or accurate loan processing, these solutions help businesses meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements at speed,” he said.

The new solutions arrive as companies across the region face growing digitisation demands. With customer experience, compliance, and turnaround time becoming central metrics for success, tools like the S5000 Series are expected to play a key role.

The S5000 Series scanners and Capture Pro 7.0 software will be available across the Middle East starting August 2025.
