Ferrari World opens Italian restaurant Gran Tour Emilia

Ferrari World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, has expanded its offering with the launch of Gran Tour Emilia, a new restaurant inspired by Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region, home to both Ferrari and some of the country’s most celebrated culinary traditions.

The venue officially opened on 19 September, welcoming VIP guests, media, stakeholders and Diamond Passholders for an exclusive preview. Designed to combine authentic regional cuisine with Ferrari’s design legacy, the restaurant aims to deliver a gourmet experience infused with motorsport flair.

A journey through Emilia-Romagna

Dishes on the menu highlight local specialties from towns across Emilia-Romagna, with each plate presented as a “stop” on a culinary road trip. Signature items include Cappelletti Cacio e Pepe, Risotto Modena featuring aged Parmigiano Reggiano and traditional balsamic vinegar, and Tortelloni di Ricotta alla Modenese, a nod to Ferrari founder Enzo Ferrari’s birthplace.

Other highlights include a refined take on Melanzana Parma and a light Five Tomato Pasta, designed to reflect the fresh flavours of Italian cooking.

Design that echoes Ferrari heritage

Gran Tour Emilia’s interiors draw directly from Ferrari’s automotive design. Terracotta walls, oak flooring and leather seating mirror the interiors of a Ferrari GT. Sculptural wireframe cars, vintage headlights and model displays add layers of storytelling, while a striking Ferrari Red kitchen island, created by Italian designer Angelo Po, serves as the centrepiece where chefs prepare dishes live in front of guests.

The restaurant also features a dedicated mixology counter, finished with Emilia-Romagna’s traditional roof tiles. Here, guests can enjoy zero-proof cocktails, including Dry Lambrusco, 0.0 Negroni and Martini 0.0, reflecting a growing demand for sophisticated non-alcoholic beverages.

Dining in the heart of Ferrari World

Gran Tour Emilia is designed to appeal to both theme park visitors and those seeking a leisurely Italian dining experience. While families enjoy the rides, adults can explore the restaurant’s culinary offerings, making it a versatile addition to Ferrari World’s attractions.

Park officials describe the venue as a place to “Find That Ferrari Feeling” — where the thrill of motorsport meets the richness of Emilia-Romagna’s food culture.

Gran Tour Emilia is now open to the public at Ferrari World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.
