du, the leading telecom and digital services provider, has successfully concluded its participation at the Ru’ya Career Fair 2025, reinforcing its role as an employer of choice for UAE Nationals and its commitment to Emiratization in line with the UAE’s Vision 2031.

Under the theme “Add ambition to your journey,” du presented itself as a workplace where employees can learn, grow, and contribute to the nation’s development, while aligning personal ambitions with professional purpose.

Speaking at the event, Fatema Al Afeefi, Acting Chief People & Impact Officer at du, said:

“The enthusiastic response at Ru’ya Career Fair 2025 supports our belief that the UAE’s youth are ready to embrace the future of work. Our theme resonated strongly with visitors who showed genuine interest in our Future X, Experience X, and Explore X programmes. These activations highlighted how technology can enhance recruitment while preserving the human connection that defines our culture.”

Innovative recruitment approach

As part of its engagement, du conducted early-stage interviews on-site, offering immediate opportunities to standout candidates. A highlight was the introduction of AI-powered interview pods, allowing visitors to select roles and undergo live assessments. The process enabled real-time shortlisting and provided candidates with a futuristic view of du’s advanced recruitment practices.

Interactive career activations

du’s stand featured several activations designed to inspire and engage:

  • Career Interactive Screen Wall: Showcasing du’s Early Careers Programmes — Future X for graduates, Experience X for undergraduates, and Explore X for high school students.
  • Career Wish Fountain: A digital experience where attendees shared professional dreams via QR code, displayed collectively on-screen.
  • Career Skills Coffee Bar: Visitors selected skills from a vending machine, paired with a coffee prepared by du’s barista, blending learning with leisure.
  • “How well do you know du?” quiz: A 15-question challenge testing knowledge of the organisation.

Driving future talent

The company stressed that its initiatives go beyond recruitment. AI upskilling, employee-led community projects, and comprehensive training programmes form part of du’s broader effort to prepare UAE Nationals for leadership in technology-driven industries.

The successful conclusion of du’s participation demonstrates both the demand for Emirati talent and the company’s dedication to enabling them to lead in innovation and digital transformation.

As the UAE advances toward becoming a global hub for technology, du’s contribution to developing the nation’s human capital underscores the expanding opportunities for ambitious Emiratis to play a central role in the country’s future prosperity.
