500 Global, one of the world’s most active venture capital firms, has partnered with Creators HQ to launch the Creators Ventures Accelerator — a new initiative aimed at identifying and incubating promising creator-led startups.

The programme, the first of its kind in the region, will be based in the UAE and designed to support entrepreneurs working at the intersection of content creation and business. With the creator economy projected to grow to $480bn globally by 2027, the accelerator seeks to equip digital creators with the tools to build sustainable and scalable ventures.

From influence to enterprise

The inaugural cohort will accept up to 20 participants, focusing on both creators and businesses that enable them. Over a 10-week hybrid programme, participants will access mentorship, resources, and training that combine 500 Global’s venture-building experience with Creators HQ’s specialist network in the creator economy.

“Creators are uniquely positioned to disrupt industries — they already have the influence, distribution, and community trust that most startups spend years building,” said Courtney Powell, Chief Operating Officer and Managing Partner at 500 Global. “By joining forces with Creators HQ, we look to provide the infrastructure for these visionaries to evolve into founders who can scale global businesses.”

Her Excellency Alia AlHammadi, Vice Chairperson of the UAE Government Media Office and CEO of the 1 Billion Followers Summit, emphasised that creators represent more than cultural influence. “At Creators HQ, we believe creators are more than just content-makers — they are entrepreneurs,” she said. “This partnership with 500 Global enables us to provide creators with the knowledge, mentorship, and network they need to shape the next generation of industry-defining companies.”

A regional hub for global growth

Over the past 15 years, 500 Global has delivered more than 190 programmes across 21 markets, supporting over 4,000 startups and mentoring more than 6,000 founders worldwide. The venture firm has been active in the Middle East and North Africa since 2012, playing a role in connecting local talent with global markets.

By linking 500 Global’s expertise with Creators HQ’s presence in the creator ecosystem, the partnership aims to position the UAE as a centre for innovation in the fast-growing creator economy.

Culmination at 1 Billion Followers Summit

The first edition of the accelerator will conclude at the 1 Billion Followers Summit in Dubai, taking place from 9–11 January 2026. The event will provide participants with an opportunity to showcase their ventures before an international audience of investors, venture capitalists, industry leaders, and corporate partners.

High-profile speakers at the summit will include author and podcaster Jay Shetty, digital creator Supercar Blondie, and entrepreneur Marina Mogilko.

Organisers hope the accelerator will demonstrate how creators, already skilled at building communities and influence, can successfully transition into global entrepreneurs driving long-term business growth.
