Bentley Systems, Incorporated, a global leader in infrastructure engineering software, has announced the finalists for its prestigious 2025 Going Digital Awards, spotlighting exceptional projects that harness digital innovation to improve infrastructure and enhance quality of life.

This year’s awards drew nearly 250 nominations from organizations in 47 countries, showcasing the international momentum behind digitally driven infrastructure transformation. Finalists were selected across 12 categories by independent panels of industry experts, ranging from bridges and tunnels to wastewater systems and digital construction.

The Going Digital Awards aim to recognize how engineers, constructors, and owner-operators are revolutionizing both project delivery and asset performance—leveraging technologies such as digital twins, AI, GIS-BIM integration, and real-time 3D modeling.

“We are inspired by the ways infrastructure professionals continue to deliver better, more resilient infrastructure, despite so many global challenges,” said Chris Bradshaw, Bentley’s Chief Sustainability and Education Officer. “This year’s finalists demonstrate the tangible impact advances in AI, digital twins, and more are having in driving greater productivity and resilience.”

Among the standout finalists:

  • Bridges and Tunnels: SENER’s Salvador-Ilha de Itaparica Bridge in Brazil, and Pennoni’s I-95 Penn’s Landing CAP Project in the US.
  • Construction: ACCIONA’s M80 Ring Road Completion in Australia, and Italferr’s digital monitoring systems in Italy.
  • Energy Production: Baosteel’s intelligent steel plant in China, and Indonesia’s PT Wijaya Karya’s sustainable RDF waste-to-energy project.
  • Rail and Transit: The UK’s Network Rail for Severn Tunnel digital upgrades and Indonesia’s Kereta Api Indonesia’s Smart Infrastructure initiative.
  • Water and Wastewater: Colombia’s EPM for optimizing Medellín’s aqueduct network and Indonesia’s WTJJ for transforming regional water supply through SPAM Jatiluhur I.

The awards culminate in a live presentation of finalists’ projects at Bentley’s Year in Infrastructure conference in Amsterdam, where winners will be announced on 16 October 2025.

This global forum attracts infrastructure leaders and stakeholders to explore emerging trends and share innovations shaping the future of construction, urban planning, and energy resilience. The event underscores Bentley’s vision of a smarter, more connected infrastructure world, powered by sustainable and data-centric solutions.

The 2025 awards build upon Bentley’s continued mission to support digital advancement and professional excellence in infrastructure, while addressing challenges such as climate change, resource limitations, and rapid urbanization.
