The capital’s creative kids are being invited to take part in the Little Masters Art Competition, organised by Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana.

The competition, which will raise funds for Operation Smile UAE – a charity providing free surgery to children suffering from debilitating facial deformities – is being held in celebration of Universal Children’s Day on 20th November.

Budding artists between the ages of five and 12-years-old should bring a framed piece of original artwork to the hotel’s reception between 9th November and 17th November (6pm), for a chance to win a great prize while helping less fortunate children.

Artworks must be in the style of Van Gogh, Monet, Lowry, Picasso, Dali, Hockney or Leonardo Da Vinci and should be between A1 and A5. Any technique can be used.

All submitted pieces will be displayed at the hotel during an exhibition from 20th November to 3rd December, and the winning artists from each of the seven categories will win a two-night stay at a Rotana property.

All pictures will be on sale starting at AED 100 and all funds raised during the exhibition will be donated to Operation Smile. The competition’s entry fee of AED 75, which includes an invitation to the exhibition’s opening reception, will also be donated to charity.
