Apple’s AI Glasses Could Launch Within a Year, UAE Price Poised to Top Meta’s

to everyday life. Industry speculation points to a launch within the next year, with UAE prices expected to be significantly higher than Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses, currently on sale for Dh1,549.

Unlike early visions of fully augmented reality spectacles, Apple appears to be focusing on AI-powered smart glasses designed for everyday assistance. Reports indicate the glasses will feature two integrated camera lenses—one dedicated to computer vision and another for photos and video capture—alongside microphones, speakers, and on-device AI processing. Apple has reportedly figured out how to embed all core components into the frame itself, eliminating the need for an external battery pack.

A major potential differentiator for Apple’s AI glasses is the acquisition of machine learning startup Q.ai for an estimated $2 billion. The company specialised in systems capable of interpreting extremely quiet speech and detecting micro facial movements, enabling users to interact with voice assistants without speaking aloud. If successfully integrated, this technology could allow hands-free, discreet use of Siri in crowded or noisy environments, potentially redefining how people engage with voice-controlled devices.

Apple has not confirmed an official release date or pricing. Analysts note that the glasses are likely to sit below the Apple Vision Pro, which retails at Dh13,999 in the UAE, offering AI-driven assistance rather than full spatial computing. Alongside the glasses, Apple is also reportedly developing a pendant device and camera-equipped AirPods to further embed AI into everyday activities.

Market observers say Apple’s entry into AI wearables reflects a broader trend of integrating intelligent devices into daily life. With hands-free interaction, on-device AI, and advanced voice recognition, the glasses could significantly influence how consumers interact with smart assistants, capture multimedia, and manage daily tasks.

As development continues, Apple’s AI glasses are emerging as one of the most anticipated consumer technology releases, combining innovation in wearable tech, artificial intelligence, and personal computing.
