Dubai, UAE — February 20, 2026 — The BegakFly EVO-ONE, a multifunctional aero-vehicle previously flown over the North Pole, successfully completed its first flight in the Dubai desert on Thursday, marking the introduction of a new class of aircraft capable of operating across land, water, and air. The flight, conducted by aerospace designer Aleksandr Begak, underscores the platform’s ability to withstand extreme temperature variations without modification.

The Dubai demonstration positions the UAE as a growing hub for advanced mobility and sustainable aviation. BegakFly, part of the Astra Lynx aerospace project, integrates off-road, marine, and aerial capabilities, and is designed for applications ranging from luxury eco-tourism and rapid-response operations to strategic monitoring in remote areas.

“The BegakFly in the skies of Dubai is the realization of our vision for universal mobility,” Begak said. “We are not just building machines; we are creating an environment where high-tech engineering meets the digital future.”

The flight also coincided with a formal presentation of Begak’s historic North Pole aircraft to His Excellency Nasser Al Neyadi, President of the Emirates Aerosports Federation, signaling a strategic collaboration for the local industrial production of the BegakFly line. This partnership aligns with the UAE’s ambitions to expand its aerospace sector and develop regional production capabilities for advanced transport technologies.

Industry analysts note that multifunctional vehicles capable of operating in extreme climates could have implications for emergency response, desert and Arctic research, and next-generation urban air mobility. The UAE’s investment in such technologies reflects its broader strategy to diversify its transport infrastructure and advance sustainable, high-tech industries.

BegakFly forms part of a broader Astra Lynx roadmap, which includes the development of autonomous eVTOL aircraft under the ‘NEMTY’ project and the suborbital spaceplane ‘SELENA’ for scientific research and private space missions. The company is also building a digital ecosystem linked to these platforms, incorporating fintech and digital asset solutions to manage resources across its aerospace projects.

Headquartered in Dubai’s IFZA Silicon Oasis, Astra Lynx aims to leverage the UAE’s regulatory and industrial environment to scale global aerospace innovations. The Dubai flight serves as both a demonstration of the vehicle’s resilience in desert conditions and a milestone in the expansion of the company’s regional presence.
