CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) has expanded its Global Data Sovereignty initiative with plans to launch new in-country cloud environments in Saudi Arabia, India and the United Arab Emirates. More regions will follow. The move allows organisations to use the CrowdStrike Falcon platform locally while keeping the same global security experience.
The new regional clouds support local data residency rules and give customers the option to run security operations within their own country. At the same time, they remain connected to CrowdStrike’s global threat network and intelligence systems.
“Data sovereignty requirements cannot come at the cost of AI-powered security. Adversaries continue to exploit global infrastructure with novel techniques and without regard for local data sovereignty policies,” said George Kurtz, CEO and founder of CrowdStrike. “Expanding secure data sovereignty in Saudi Arabia, India, and the UAE gives organizations local data residency as part of a unified global security model, without sacrificing security or the global intelligence required to stop breaches.”
Secure data sovereignty in Saudi Arabia, India and the UAE
The new cloud regions extend CrowdStrike’s data sovereignty programme while keeping a single global defence model. Organisations in these markets can deploy security services locally without losing access to shared intelligence or weakening their protection.
This expansion allows customers to:
- Run the CrowdStrike Falcon platform with data stored inside their country.
- Stay connected to CrowdStrike’s global telemetry, threat intelligence and threat hunting teams.
- Maintain strong security operations without creating isolated systems or blind spots.
CrowdStrike protects sovereign data from attackers
CrowdStrike’s approach is based on a simple principle: keeping data in-country must not limit defence against attackers. Cybersecurity depends on data. When teams cannot analyse or connect security signals, response times slow and visibility drops. This benefits attackers, not defenders.
By supporting customer-controlled data flows and strong data design, CrowdStrike helps teams connect signals, apply intelligence and act as threats move across systems. This ensures security operations match the speed and scale of modern attacks.
The programme follows clear governance and responsible data handling standards. CrowdStrike manages data lawfully and transparently while adapting to changes driven by AI. By combining local data storage with global protection, CrowdStrike helps stop breaches in a world where cyber threats cross borders.
