Ferrari World Yas Island has expanded its offering beyond world-class rides with the launch of Gran Tour Emilia, a new restaurant inspired by the culinary traditions of Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region.

The restaurant officially opened its doors on Friday, 19 September, in a ceremony that welcomed VIPs, media representatives, key stakeholders, and Diamond Passholders. Guests were given an exclusive first look at what Ferrari World is calling one of its most ambitious dining ventures to date.

A culinary road trip through Emilia-Romagna

The new venue draws on the dual heritage of Emilia-Romagna, widely recognised as both the birthplace of Ferrari and one of Italy’s most celebrated food regions. Every dish at Gran Tour Emilia is presented as a “stop” on a road trip through the cities and towns of Modena, Parma and Maranello, marrying authentic Italian flavours with Ferrari’s legendary design language.

Signature dishes include Cappelletti Cacio e Pepe, Risotto Modena made with aged Parmigiano Reggiano and balsamic vinegar, Melanzana Parma, and Tortelloni di Ricotta alla Modenese – a nod to Enzo Ferrari’s hometown. The menu also features a light Five Tomato Pasta alongside a range of zero-proof cocktails such as Dry Lambrusco, Martini 0.0 and a Ferrari-themed Negroni.

Ferrari design in every detail

The venue itself reflects Ferrari’s design heritage. Interiors feature warm terracotta walls, oak flooring and leather seating reminiscent of Ferrari GT models. Decorative touches include wireframe car sculptures, vintage headlights and scale Ferrari models.

At the centre of the restaurant is a striking Ferrari Red kitchen island, designed by Italian designer Angelo Po. Behind the glass façade, chefs prepare regional dishes live, showcasing seasonal produce and traditional techniques.

Enhancing the Ferrari World experience

Located in the heart of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Gran Tour Emilia is positioned as both a dining destination and an extension of the park’s brand identity. Organisers say the restaurant offers guests a chance to “find that Ferrari feeling” in an entirely new way – not through speed and thrill, but through taste and hospitality.

“Gran Tour Emilia brings together two great traditions of Emilia-Romagna: Ferrari and food,” said a Ferrari World spokesperson. “It allows guests to refuel in a setting that celebrates both the craft of Italian gastronomy and the design language that defines Ferrari.”

A family-friendly dining experience

The venue is designed to accommodate both thrill-seekers pausing between rides and families looking for a leisurely sit-down meal. Its mixology counter, tiled with traditional Emilia-Romagna roof tiles, caters to adult visitors with non-alcoholic specialities, while the diverse food menu appeals to guests of all ages.

Ferrari World has positioned the launch as part of its ongoing effort to expand visitor experiences beyond its award-winning attractions. With Gran Tour Emilia now open, guests can complement a day of roller coasters and simulators with a culinary journey through the heart of Italy.

Gran Tour Emilia is now open to the public at Ferrari World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.
