The region’s leading omnichannel healthcare platform, myAster, has expanded its round-the-clock pharmacy and wellness delivery service beyond Dubai, bringing patients in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah under its express delivery network.

With this expansion, customers across five Emirates can now access 24×7 express delivery of prescription medicines, health supplements, beauty care and daily wellness essentials at their doorstep. The service is distinct from myAster’s standard delivery, offering faster turnaround and greater convenience.

Meeting growing demand

The decision follows rising demand for doorstep access not only to prescribed treatments but also to wellness and beauty products such as vitamins, nutritional supplements, skincare, and mother-and-baby essentials. Building on the success of myAster’s 60-minute delivery service in Dubai, the platform is now scaling its model nationwide.

Executives at Aster DM Healthcare, which launched myAster in 2022, described the move as a key milestone in the platform’s transition from a city-focused service to a nationwide health and wellness ecosystem.

“MyAster was built to transform how people access healthcare, making it faster, easier, and more reliable,” said Nalla Karunanithy, CEO of Digital Health and E-Commerce at Aster DM Healthcare. “By expanding our express delivery, 24×7 delivery services to more Emirates, myAster is catering to the evolving lifestyle and health needs of today’s consumers who value both convenience and holistic wellbeing.”

Rapid adoption

Since its launch, myAster has grown into the UAE’s first integrated healthcare superapp, with more than 2.8 million downloads and over 2 million lives impacted in three years. In FY24 alone, it facilitated over one million appointment bookings, with two-thirds of physical appointments at Aster facilities now made through the app.

The platform offers a wide range of services, including teleconsultations, in-person appointment booking, access to lab reports and tools for chronic condition management, alongside its pharmacy and wellness marketplace.

Regional growth

The expansion into Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah comes shortly after the app’s launch in Saudi Arabia, marking a significant step in its regional ambitions.

myAster’s growth reflects broader trends in healthcare delivery, as patients increasingly look for digital-first solutions that blend clinical services with everyday wellness needs.

Officials said the platform aims to become the region’s most inclusive and accessible health and wellness ecosystem, uniting pharmacy, healthcare, and lifestyle essentials under one digital umbrella.
