Etihad Airways joined the party to celebrate a major milestone for Australia’s iconic Sydney Opera House this week, with a special fly-by from one of its aircraft.
Etihad helped its friends Down Under celebrate the famous building’s 40th birthday with a low-altitude salute from one of its Airbus A340-600’s, as more than 10,000 well-wishers turned up for a ‘Cake and A Song’.
James Hogan, Etihad Airways’ President and chief executive officer said: “On behalf of Etihad Airways’ 16,500 staff worldwide, I extend out best wishes to the Government of New South Wales, Sydney Opera House Trust, and the people of Sydney on this special occasion.”
