Prime Video has released the official trailer for its upcoming Turkish original film Dehşet Bey, sparking excitement among fans with its mix of action, romance, and high drama. Starring Barış Arduç and Tuba Büyüküstün, the film will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on October 21.

Directed by acclaimed Turkish filmmaker Mehmet Ada Öztekin, known for The Prisoner (Mahkum) and the internationally celebrated Miracle in Cell No. 7, the movie is being promoted as one of the platform’s most ambitious regional productions to date.

A Star-Studded Cast

Dehşet Bey pairs two of Turkey’s most popular screen icons. Barış Arduç takes on the title role of Dehşet, a cold-blooded killer and member of a secretive organization known as Fedailer Ocağı, whose rules strictly forbid love and family. His disciplined world begins to unravel when he encounters Dr. Abide, portrayed by Tuba Büyüküstün.

The supporting cast features a strong lineup of Turkish cinema veterans including Yıldıray Şahinler, Musa Uzunlar, Saygın Soysal, Onur Özaydın, and Dolunay Soysert, further strengthening the film’s ensemble credentials.

Storyline with a Twist

Adapted from a graphic novel by artist M.K. Perker, the screenplay was penned by celebrated author Murat Menteş, whose distinctive literary style blends surrealism with sharp social commentary. The narrative promises to deliver not only adrenaline-fueled action but also a deeply emotional core.

The story follows Dehşet, a loyal enforcer of his clandestine group, whose life is governed by obedience and violence. When Abide enters his world unexpectedly, he is forced to choose between staying loyal to the ruthless code of Fedailer Ocağı or following his heart. This inner conflict drives the film’s central tension, mixing explosive fight sequences with an intimate romance.

Trailer Highlights

The trailer showcases high-octane fight scenes, stylish cinematography, and the electric chemistry between Arduç and Büyüküstün. Prime Video is positioning the project as a bold step in Turkish storytelling for global audiences, highlighting its balance of blockbuster spectacle with emotional depth.

Social media reactions have been overwhelmingly positive since the trailer’s release. Fans praised the pairing of Arduç and Büyüküstün—two of Turkey’s most bankable stars—as well as the visual polish of the production. Some commentators have already labeled it a “potential global breakthrough” for Turkish cinema on streaming platforms.

Expanding Turkish Originals

Dehşet Bey represents Prime Video’s growing commitment to Turkish-language content, tapping into a rapidly expanding market of international viewers drawn to the country’s dramas and films. The streaming giant is betting that the combination of big-name stars, a gripping story, and high production values will resonate not only in Turkey but also across Europe, the Middle East, and beyond.

With its October release date fast approaching, Dehşet Bey is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about Turkish film debuts of the year.
