Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live will return to Abu Dhabi on Sept. 19–20, bringing a new themed show and a debut vehicle to Etihad Arena as the capital continues to expand its family entertainment calendar.
The touring production, titled “Glow-N-Fire,” will stage three performances over two days at the Yas Island venue. Organizers say the updated show will feature a new truck, Rhinomite, alongside returning fan favorites including Mega Rex, Bone Shaker and Skelesaurus.
The first performance is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19, followed by a 6:30 p.m. show the same day. A final performance will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20.
The event will also include freestyle motocross segments, with riders attempting stunts such as a no-handed front flip. As with previous editions, ticket holders can purchase access to a pre-show gathering that allows fans to see the trucks up close and meet drivers before the main event.
The franchise is based on the toy brand Hot Wheels, which has built a global touring entertainment series around its monster truck characters. The show has previously drawn large crowds in the UAE, reflecting the country’s appetite for large-scale, family-oriented live events.
Abu Dhabi has invested heavily in positioning Yas Island as a regional entertainment hub, with Etihad Arena serving as a centerpiece for concerts, sporting events and touring productions. The return of Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live adds to a growing slate of international shows scheduled in the emirate for the second half of 2026.
Live entertainment has become an increasingly competitive sector in the Gulf, as cities seek to attract tourists and boost non-oil revenue through events and experiences. Family-focused productions, in particular, have proven commercially resilient, appealing to both residents and visitors.
Organizers have not disclosed expected attendance figures, but the multi-show format suggests confidence in sustained demand. With ticket sales now open, the September performances will test whether repeat events can maintain momentum in Abu Dhabi’s evolving live entertainment market.
