Talent in spades

Since we we launched our Abu Dhabi Week Mascot Competition a few short weeks ago we have been inundated with entries and some of them have been simply fabulous.

Your examples of creative genius have been winging their way to Turret Towers by email, and snail mail, but Al Mushrif School went the extra mile and called in the trusty Catriona Doherty to collect their folder-full of sketches.

We’ve had everything from sheila-wearing falcons and ghutra-wearing turtles, to palm trees with earrings, gorgeous gazelles, scary scorpions and cuddly camels. The quality of the entries and the imagination and creativity that has gone in to them is truly impressive.

We’ve had so much fun in the office reading through your descriptions of your characters’ personality traits, and we’re pleased to read that ALL of them are fans of the magazine – that’s almost a prerequisite!

We will be judging the entries at the end of this month so there is still time to send in your design ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ). Alternatively you can post your entry to Megan at Turret Media, Office 406, Building 4, twofour54, Abu Dhabi 77806.

Keep them coming!
