The Beyond Pink gathering united medical leaders, cancer survivors and community members for an evening dedicated to raising awareness around women’s health, early diagnosis and empowerment. Held at the Grand Hyatt Dubai and preceded by a networking session, the event opened with a welcome by Health Magazine editor Suchitra Bajpai Chaudhary, setting the stage for an informative and supportive evening.

The two-hour programme featured two panel sessions moderated by distinguished journalist Manju Ramanan. The highlight was an inspiring keynote address from internationally renowned actress and author Lisa Ray, who shared her personal story of overcoming multiple myeloma. She urged the inclusion of women in all clinical trials and encouraged consideration of Hormone Replacement Therapy for menopause symptoms. Her address delivered both honesty and hope, earning her heartfelt recognition through flowers, a plaque and a certificate.

Commenting on the event, Mr. Vignesh S. Unadkat, COO of Thumbay Media, said:
“Women’s health deserves this level of attention and openness. I’m grateful to everyone who showed up, spoke up and helped turn Beyond Pink into a space where learning, support and hope came together.”

The first panel brought together leading specialists including Dr. Brajesh Mittal (Cardiology), Dr. Shady Lahbib (Nutrition), Dr. Partha Sarathi Das (Reproductive Medicine), Dr. Rini Kuruvilla (Gynaecology and Obstetrics), Dr. Muhammad S. Tahir (Mental Health) and clinical dietitian Ms. Mitun Sarkar. Their contributions covered essential areas of women’s health such as heart health, fertility, nutrition, screenings and mental wellbeing.

The second session focused on courage and lived reality. Breast cancer warriors Ms. Renuka Parmeshwar Sharma and Ms. Shirin Sarkaree shared deeply personal accounts of their journeys, emphasising the transformative impact of early screening. General Surgeon Dr. Verushka Mansukhani added expert guidance on self-examinations, timely diagnosis and consistent screening practices.

Dr. Nadia Choudhry, Founder and Managing Director of NADZ Healthcare, remarked:
“At NADZ, we believe health is not just about treatments — it is about dignity, care and being present when it matters most. Supporting an initiative like Beyond Pink reflects our commitment to empower every woman with knowledge, compassion and access. We are proud to stand with survivors, experts and community leaders to shine a light on women’s health across the UAE.”

Beyond Pink delivered a clear reminder that women’s health requires awareness, open conversation and collective support. The event underscored that wellbeing should be accessible to all women and that empowering individuals with knowledge can change lives.

Organised by Health Magazine and Thumbay Media, the event received sponsorship from NADZ Home Healthcare, G.O.A.T Realty, Orchid Fertility and Acacia Garden Centre LLC, as well as individual supporters Ms. Kusum Dutta, Ms. Roxanne Jaffer, Ms. Parveen Agarwal and Dr. Rini Kuruvilla.
