The Myriad, recognised internationally for its student accommodation model, has confirmed its expansion into Saudi Arabia to support the country’s growing student population.
The company’s presence in the Kingdom is managed through Dedicated Housing Company (DHC), a SAR 2 billion joint venture formed by Sumou Global Investment, Majd Investment and Strategic Housing Group. DHC is now identifying suitable plots in Riyadh, Jeddah and the Eastern Province to develop purpose-built student housing.
The expansion plan includes reviewing plots between 20,000 and 50,000 square metres in locations close to universities and transport networks. The move supports Vision 2030 plans to provide more high-quality student accommodation through private investment.
The Myriad provides structured co-living environments for students and young professionals. Its accommodation model focuses on comfort, accessibility and cultural relevance. Existing properties in Dubai and Muscat feature furnished units, on-site security systems, facilities for sport and recreation, dining services, retail space and an annual events calendar.
The brand has received industry awards including recognition at the World Realty Congress and the Global Recognition Awards for community engagement. It also won the Best Residential Project – Affordable Housing category at the Arabian Best of the Best Awards for two consecutive years. The Myriad works in partnership with Asset Living, a major US housing company with a large national property portfolio.
“At The Myriad, affordability and high standards come together seamlessly,” said Vik Rao, Group CEO of SHG and DHC. “The Myriad’s resident-first approach creates safe, efficient, and joyful living environments that support students academically, socially, and personally. With a proven track record in the UAE and Oman, and given the Kingdom’s rapidly growing university-age population, expanding The Myriad into Saudi Arabia is both a natural and essential next step.”
The announcement comes as Saudi Arabia continues to launch development projects aimed at improving education-focused living environments.
